| Essentially, LOUGHVILLE is an attempt at an annotated bibliography. Chetwynd-Hayes was nothing if not prolific, and the 200 plus stories, several novels and two novelisations should keep us out of mischief for a considerable time. Quite apart from this, RCH edited a number of ghost & horror anthologies and contributed to twice as many again - all these come under the morbid microscope. There's a section devoted to the film, TV and radio adaptations which leads us screaming into the scary world of the location spotter. Madam Orloff, Francis St. Clare & Fred, Conrad Von Holstein, Luna, the multifarious manifestations of Clavering Grange ... you'll find them all at LOUGHVILLE where the locals are just dying to meet you ... |
